Cllr Ahmed’s proposed amendments:
“That the Budget be amended as follows:-
1) A reduction of £500k to the Regeneration and Economic Growth directorate budget to be achieved by accelerating and increasing the reduction to the Service Concession Agreement payment to ‘The Hepworth, Wakefield’.
2) A reduction of £124k to the Corporate Services directorate budget to be achieved by removing the funding for the Trade Union Convenors.
3) A reduction of £118k to the Corporate Services directorate budget to be achieved by moving to ‘all out’ elections every four years.
4) An increase of £275k to the Regeneration and Economic Growth directorate budget to fund the introduction of two hours of free parking in the City and Town Centres.
5) An increase of £111k to the Children and Young People’s directorate budget to fund an increase in the allowances payable to in-house Foster Carers in order to fund national insurance contributions payable on their allowances.
6) An increase of £93k to the Regeneration and Economic Growth directorate budget in order to fund the expansion of the Blue Badge scheme to cover those people with hidden disabilities.
7) An increase of £263k to the Regeneration and Economic Growth directorate budget in order to fund a revenue contribution to the Capital Programme to fund the planned repair of an additional 5,000 potholes.
